What You Should Pack in Your “Go Bag”

Babies come when they want, and you want to be ready to go at a moment’s notice! Even though I went into labor on my due date, I was still surprised. I’m so glad I had my “go bag” packed ahead of time.

Although, looking back now, I wish I would have packed it differently. Today, I’m going to share with you what I packed versus what I actually used. Hopefully this helps some of you soon-to-be-mamas out there as you get your bags ready for the big day!

The Best Thing I Did for My Body and Mind During My Pregnancy

Being pregnant can take its toll on you mentally as much as it can physically. There’s a lot going on! Hormones are flying everywhere; your body is changing completely. During my pregnancy, I wanted to make sure that I was keeping myself “in shape” both mentally and physically. Here’s how I did it.

Being pregnant can take its toll on you mentally as much as it can physically. There’s a lot going on! Hormones are flying everywhere; your body is changing completely. You’re crying one minute, laughing the next (one time, I even cried and laughed at the same time).

While I wasn’t the best at eating healthy all the time and I think I only went to the gym once (and I was only there for 15 minutes), I did still want to make sure that I was keeping myself “in shape” both mentally and physically during my pregnancy.

To Reveal or Not to Reveal…

From the very start Hubby and I knew we didn’t want to know the sex of our baby. What we didn’t know was how much not knowing the gender would add to our pregnancy experience. We both agree that it was one of the best decisions we ever made.

From the very start Hubby and I knew we didn’t want to know the sex of our baby. It was something we had talked about long before we ever realistically started thinking about kids, actually.

“It’s one of life’s last great surprises,” we agreed.

What we didn’t know was how much not knowing the gender would add to our pregnancy experience. While we didn’t get to have a gender reveal party, and picking out clothes and a theme for the nursery was a little tricky, we both agree that not finding out if we were having a boy or a girl was one of the best decisions we ever made.

0-10 ASAP Please!

My body was 100% not cooperating! So, I did ALL the self-inducing tricks I could think of. And something worked!

I don’t know about other women, but when I hit about 37 weeks, I was ready to get the baby out! I wasn’t even uncomfortable the way some women get towards the end. In fact, all the way up to my due date I was walking to and from work (about a mile each way)! I was just anxious to meet my baby and ready to start the next chapter.
